2012 London Olympic Opening Ceremony will be broadcast on NBC tonight. I can't wait to watch it at my cozy lovely home tonight. Along with all my favorite sports - diving, swimming, gymnastic, short distance running, high jumping, badminton, tennis, table tennis and basketball.
I found this very cute donut Olympic symbol and would like to share it with you all. And how many of us know what the classic Olympic 5-ring symbol means?! Here is the answer:
- The emblem chosen to illustrate and represent the world Congress of 1914...: five intertwined rings in different colours - blue, yellow, black, green, and red - are placed on the white field of the paper. These five rings represent the five parts of the world which now are won over to Olympism and willing to accept healthy competition. Blue stands for Europe, black for Africa, Red for America, Yellow for Asia and, green for Oceania.
