Under the Sea Baby Shower Cupcake Toppers

I made these cupcake toppers for a baby shower.  My customer gave me the shower invitation card, and I came up with the idea to match the invitation.  The cupcake toppers turn out so cute!

Once again, if you want to order cupcake toppers alone, please visit my Etsy shop.  I could customize items (cupcake toppers/picks), matching party banner or party supplies for you.  Click here for my Etsy shop.

DIY Cupcake Toy for Your Kid

I found this creative DIY matching cupcake toy from Naptime Crafters website.  It is a smart way to teach your little one about colors through playing the game.  Remember when we were little kid, our parents were a lot more creative than us.  They made things for us to play or encouraging us to make our own toys.

Also, a lot of kids grow up in a world, which filled with technology.  I don't know it's 100% a good thing for the parents or for the kids (I guess this is a too serious topic to discuss on this blog=p).  If I had kid in future, I just wanted them to have a simple childhood with less technology toys involved.

OK, back to the topic - if you are interested in how to make this cute matching cupcake toy for your little one, go and check out the Naptime Crafters website.

If you are new on crafting and sewing, and want to have a easier instruction of making your toy cupcakes, here another website, you might be interested.  The website calls "Hoogli Art", they have step by step tutorial and easier way to make your cupcakes.  Below is their final production.

Sweet and Fond Memory

My 3th Birthday at my grandmon's house. I was so excited for blowing the candles

When I think back to my first memories of cake, I have particularly fond memories of a piece of my birthday cake from my childhood.  Of course I love the honest flavor and the soft texture of the cake; but most importantly it's because this cake reminds me of my lovely childhood and my family.

I am one of the lucky ones, who have an amazing and a happy childhood (Thanks to my family!)  When I was a little kid, my parents would throw me a birthday party usually at my grandmon's old house.  They always ordered a white cake from the bakery near our house.  The birthday cake was usually covered with white whipped cream, and topped with canned fruits and some fresh seasonal fruits.  Inside the cake, it's layered with white whipped cream mixed with canned fruits and the white cake.  And on the top of the cake, my parents would ask the bakery to write "Happy Birthday", sometimes they would request them to add my favorite cartoon character on it.

The birthday cake might not be the best cake I even ate, but it certainly is one of the foods, which reminds me of my family and my happy childhood.  And now, I am so honored and happy that I could create this very fond memory for you and your family.

“What keeps me motivated is not the food itself but all the bonds and memories the food represents.”
