As I mentioned on my previous post, cake pops are getting very popular.  They are one fun to eat dessert (isn't everything on the stick taste better?!).  I found these cute pop stars, including Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Justin Biber...in cake pop format.  Urgh, they are too cute to eat!  If you want to learn how to make your favorite pop stars, this book, Top of the Cake pops could definitely give you some amazing ideas (see cover of the book below).  And check out more pop stars by Top of the Cake Pops below also.

When baking, follow direction...

Baking is a fun hobby; however, sometimes it could get very discouraging.  Especially when you spent half day in the kitchen, and the final product turned out were not what you expected.  From beginners to experienced bakers, I am sure we all experienced the feeling of failing.  No matter how many times we failed, just keep trying and experimenting because you will get the result you want eventually.  Here are some pictures I found from the Fail Blog.

LA County Fair Summer 2011, Pomona, CA

Few weekends ago, we went to the LA County Fair with our family.  We had some yummy but unhealthy fair food; we also checked out a lot of cool stuffs and different exhibitions at the fair.  One of my favorite things to see is the cake contest and table setting contest exhibits.  We had a very great time at the fair.  Can't wait to go back next year.
